Area Sales Manager
Role Overview
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth within the KZN region by developing and executing sales strategies for surveying and geomatics equipment. This role involves managing distributor relationships, providing training and support, and ensuring sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to increase market share.
Identify and onboard new distributors; support and develop existing ones.
Present and demonstrate products to customers and dealers.
Negotiate sales contracts and manage product supply milestones.
Monitor sales performance against targets and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed.
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, including QHSE and Ethics & Compliance.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or Diploma in Land Surveying (Geomatics), Engineering Survey, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in land surveying, mapping, and analysis.
Proven experience in sales within the construction or geomatics industry.
Strong knowledge of surveying equipment and customer requirements.
Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial drive with a strong work ethic.
Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
